Due to a lack of agreement between the Ministry of Education and PPTA the current industrial action will continue until further notice.

Therefore, the structure of the proposed Family Days scheduled in the next few weeks will be amended to meet the PPTA Strike Action requirements.

We are conducting interviews on the same days as advertised but with a change of structure and times.

Monday 19th: All Houses from 3.30 – 4.30pm
Tuesday 20th: All Houses from 3.30 – 4.30pm
Monday 26th: All Houses from 3.30 – 4.30pm
Tuesday 27th: All Houses from 3.30 – 4.30pm

We have closed the School Interview site temporarily to make these adjustments.  We apologise if you have already booked an interview and respectfully ask you to go back into the site and rebook your time/day. An email will be sent to parents once the site has been reopened for bookings.  We apologise for any inconvenience and we hope to see you over the four days with your child.

On Tuesday 13th June we have some of our students receiving the Sacrament of Baptism at St Mary’s Church.  We are taking the students who are attending school that day to participate in this celebration.  This event should be covered by the EOTC Blanket Consent form in your child’s file. No permission slips will be sent home.  This is a normal school day for Year 10, 11 and 12 students, (as the Year 9 and 13’s are rostered home).

At 1.40pm students will be transported to St Mary’s and will be dismissed from St Mary’s Church to after the ceremony.  Bus students will walk from the Church to City College to catch their rural bus. Students with bikes/cars will make their own way to the Church and will be dismissed from there to go home.  Please remind your child if they are on a restricted licence they are not permitted to take passengers before or after the event.

Yours sincerely

Acting Principal
