A timely reminder: All work submitted for assessment must be the student’s own, original work. This means that students must not copy, reuse, or submit work that has been generated or significantly assisted by others.
In particular:
- The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools (e.g. tools that produce written responses) is not permitted unless explicitly stated by the teacher.
- Copying from the internet, other students, or any external source without proper acknowledgement is considered plagiarism.
- Submitting work that is not your own is a breach of authenticity.
Students are required to sign an authenticity statement for assessments, confirming that the work submitted is entirely their own.
If a breach of authenticity occurs:
- The student will receive a Not Achieved grade for the assessment
- The incident will be recorded by the school
We encourage all students to seek help from their teacher if they are unsure about what is allowed. It is always better to ask questions than risk breaching assessment rules.
Thank you for your support in upholding academic integrity within our school.
