Cyber bullying and Objectionable Images
If you have received any messages via social media and would consider these either bullying or inappropriate then you need to report the incident on NetSafe. This the government funded agency that is charged with investigating such incidents and then work with the NZ Police should the matter be considered illegal or criminal. It only takes 5 – 10 minutes to fill out an incident report and the staff at NetSafe are reasonably proactive at resolving these issues and maintaining contact during the process. Make sure if you do receive such images or messages that you keep them until you have reported it to NetSafe and sent them the material. Once this has been completed it may be a good idea then to block the person sending the messages or images
